Harvard Business School seeks Research Associates to partner with faculty members on
significant research initiatives requiring strong quantitative analysis skills using SAS
and/or Stata statistical package. Research may involve development of datasets,
sophisticated analysis, often using large datasets and multiple variables and advanced
programming; exact responsibilities will vary depending on faculty's research agenda.
Candidates possessing strong quantitative analysis skills and experience should apply,
and will be contacted with more details if a match is determined.
Research Associates have the potential to work with HBS faculty on a variety of research
projects and may develop intellectual property for HBS in many ways. Research products
are most often journal articles, working papers, HBS cases and teaching notes, and books.
Duties will include gathering/analyzing data.
NOTE: These may be full-time or part-time term appointment, beginning July 1, 2008
through June 30, 2009 with possibility for reappointment. Part-time positions may be
combined to create a full-time engagement.
BA/BS required; demonstrated advanced experience in quantitative research using SAS
and/or Stata statistical package.
Additional requirements: Outstanding academic record; research, analysis, communication,
organizational skills a must. Candidates should be prepared to submit coding sample and
official transcripts.
