Chile Conference

As a kick-off to our Dual Degree program (MA/MPA) between the School of International and Public Affairs we hosted an all-day conference on the reforms that have taken place in Chile in the last decade.

Ford Foundation Workshops for Doctoral Students of Higher Education

The Ford Foundation recently awarded a grant to strengthen the quality of research on Higher Education to Columbia University's Quantitative Methods and Social Sciences (QMSS) Masters degree program. The funding will be used to launch an initiative, with the support of QMSS affiliated faculty, to strengthen the methodological and policy-related training of doctoral students in the field of higher education.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development partnership

QMSS director, Christopher Weiss, has been asked to create a short course sequence to help statisticians at OECD strengthen their quantitative analytical skills. This course sequence will be similar to the first summer session of the Ford Higher Education sequence.
