QMSS trains its students to be critical handlers of social science data, capable of not only recognizing and working with problematic data and understanding analytic potential/pitfalls under various circumstances, but also of conveying results cogently and coherently. In our increasingly data-rich society, there is certainly the need for such quantitative analytic talent. According to a recent McKinsey report, "the United States alone could face a shortage of 140,000-190,000 people with deep analytical skills as well as 1.5 million managers and analysts with the know-how to use the analysis of big data to make effective decisions." QMSS is committed to provide our students with the training and opportunities to work with raw data as well as to provide employers/academic departments with high-quality quantitative analytic research capacity.
Become a QMSS Industry Affiliate
The QMSS Industry Affiliate Program seeks to develop practical, collaborative partnerships between the academic community and the industries to which we send our students. We welcome private companies, non-profit organizations, government institutions, and NGOs to submit internship/employment/fellowship opportunities as well as proposals for individual research projects that may help institutions better utilize their organizational data.
Post Jobs on the QMSS Jobs Listserv
