Kenneth J. Grossberger

Dr. Kenneth Grossberger is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology teaching Quantitative Methods in the QMSS program. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at John Jay College in the Department of Public Administration. He has taught courses in Research Methods, Human Resources Management, The US Constitution and Criminal Justice, Organizational Theory, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Bureaupathology, Organizational Performance, Public Administration, Ethics in Government, Courts Administration, Public Organization Waste and Abuse, Criminal Justice Administration and Planning, Justice Planning and Policy Analysis, Emergency Management, and is currently teaching the Theory and Practice of Quantitative Analysis at Columbia. Dr. Grossberger holds a PhD in Criminal Justice from the City University Graduate Center. He has a BA in Political Science from Fordham University, an MS in Protection Management from John Jay College, and an MPhil in Criminal Justice from the CUNY Graduate Center. He has published articles on deterrence theory, the 4th amendment, bribery, foreign policy, risk management, user-centered design, and physical security. He was an executive in the security industry in New York for many years and is also a risk management-security consultant with his own firm, Metro Consulting Associates, LLC. He is currently writing a series of articles and a book entitled “Punishing Politicians,” focusing on US Members of Congress, Governors, and Mayors accused of crimes. He is also working on an article on the current status of the First Amendment.
