Maiko Yomogida

Dr. Maiko Yomogida is an adjunct lecturer in sociology and teaches Theory and Methodology and Master's Thesis for the QMSS program. She is a full-time senior research associate in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University where she directs studies focusing on psycho-social determinants of health and health care access among socially marginalized populations. As a school psychologist, she works at Fordham University’s Hagin School Consultation Center as a clinical supervisor, conducting psychoeducational assessments for children from low-income families, as well as conducting research studies on fostering positive behaviors and educational success in English language learners and students with disabilities and/or other challenges. Dr. Yomogida received a BA in Psychology from New York University, an MA in QMSS from Columbia University, a MSEd in Psychology of Bilingual Students and a PhD in School Psychology from Fordham University.
