Mazen Asaad
Mazen Asaad is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sociology in the QMSS graduate program where he typically teaches Machine Learning for the Social Sciences. Dr. Asaad got his BS from Tufts University in Biopsychology with a minor in Mathematics. From there, he went on to Stanford University for his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Physiology. His research focused on behavioral neuroscience, and his dissertation utilized fMRI imaging in mice to understand the role of different neuronal cell types in Alzheimer’s disease and healthy aging.
He currently works as the Lead Data Scientist as The Alexander Group, a consulting firm focused on go-to-market strategy and revenue growth. Prior to that, he was Senior Director of Data & Media Science at Known, a modern marketing agency. There, he worked with clients to plan, optimize, model, and experiment on live media campaigns to evaluate and maximize their effectiveness.
