Samira Zaroudi
Dr. Samira Zaroudi is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Columbia University, where she teaches Natural Language Processing in the Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) program. She holds a Ph.D. in Statistics, along with master’s degrees in Mathematics and Actuarial Science. Her research focuses on the development of machine learning and natural language processing methods for analyzing mixed and interdependent data, with particular emphasis on Bayesian inference, multivariate time series, and copula-based frameworks. Dr. Zaroudi’s work integrates statistical theory, computational methodology, and interdisciplinary applications across the social sciences, finance, economics, and business.
